About Karen Meislik

Karen Meislik is a certified matrimonial attorney. Since 1985, Karen Meislik has been representing clients with compassion and level-headedness to reduce the emotional toll that often occurs with divorce and parenting issues. Karen is a skilled negotiator whose experience allows her to see issues through the court's eyes and make an honest assessment of every situation. Her advice is honest, caring, and based on 20 years experience in matrimonial law.

Recently, Karen was honored to receive the 2004 Essex County Bar Association Family Law Attorney Achievement Award.

Karen is approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a mediator, enabling her to help clients come to a resolution without having the tremendous expense of litigation.

Karen volunteers for the Women's Resource Center, Ask a Lawyer program of the New Jersey Council of Jewish Women; is a working member of the Essex County Early Settlement Panel, and and works with St. Barnabas Hospital Hospice.

She is a partner in the firm of Meislik & Meislik, and is the only certified matrimonial lawyer in the firm.

Karen is married to her law partner, Ira Meislik. They have two grown children and a grandson.
